The RH Negative Freebirthing Sisters from New Zealand: Sophie & Julia

Season #7

The RH Negative Freebirthing Sisters from New Zealand: Sophie & Julia

Watch this episode HERE

Sophie and Julia, adorable freebirthing sisters and musicians from NZ join me on the show today, sharing their birth stories and journeys into motherhood.  I received an email from them expressing their gratitude for the podcast and how it had changed their lives, so of course I had to bring them on the show.  Both sisters are RH negative and without the rhogam shot, they freebirthed two healthy babies into the world.  Together they share their stories full of wisdom, laughs, and insights of shedding fears, the power of words, and how freebirth has influenced their music.  Be sure and listen all the way to the end, as they bless us with their sweet voices in a beautiful song, inspired by the transformation of freebirth and the profound impact it had on their lives.  This is such a fun episode, enjoy!

Here’s what you’ll hear:

✨️How Julia got pregnant first and wanted to freebirth, but to appease others she chose to birth with a homebirth midwife

✨️How both sisters are RH negative and how after an abortion, a doctor told Julia she was an alien and would need to get the rhogam shot in order for her body to not kill her next baby

✨️How they both declined the shot for their freebirths, trusting deeply in themselves, knowing the medical system couldn’t keep them safe

✨️How Sophie’s life changed when she met her nephew and she immediately knew that freebirth was the way

✨️How Sophie was supported by her sister and partner during her birth and how welcoming her daughter into the world was a complete dimensional shift for her family

✨️How her baby’s emergence was the most fun moment of her life

✨️How Julia conceives again and embarks on a healing journey by understanding the power of her words

✨️How she chose replace the word “labor” with “sacred birth ceremony” in order to envision and actualize a pain free and totally orgasmic birth

✨️How the sisters music was intertwined with their journey into motherhood and how their music and births influenced each other

✨️A live impromptu performance of their song “In my mind” off their latest EP “Portal”
