A Freebirth in Oman: Chantal's Brave Journey
Today we have Chantal telling us her stories of 3 full-term pregnancies, and 3 pregnancy losses in 5 different countries. She speaks to how she navigated foreign cultures and governmental systems as an expat, & shares her journey from a medicalized, torturous birth, to a birth-center birth, and then a wildly simple freebirth at home. We also discuss the disruption of her postpartum time by having to immediately interface with the system to obtain a birth record.
Chantal’s story is a lighthouse for the pregnant women feeling hopeless and who know there must be another way. Freebirth happens anywhere and everywhere, even in countries where most everyone believes homebirth is illegal.
