Our program delivers a grounded education in the physiology of pregnancy and birth, supported by expert spotlight teachers, while remaining rooted in a psycho-spiritual approach that elevates the art and practice of birth-work as spiritual vocation.

Self Mastery

Foundational to the MatriBirth Mentor Institute is our life-changing self-mastery program: an immersive, experiential redesign of your beliefs, stories, assumptions, and unconscious commitments, allowing you to unlock your potential and uplevel your success in every area of your life.

First introduced in The Radical Birth Keeper School, this semester offers a deep dive into the skills and tools required for becoming a truly conscious, self-actualized leader in the birth world and beyond.

Innovators in unpacking the inverted power dynamics of obstetric harm, Emilee and Yolande have changed the landscape of birth coaching with their razor-sharp yet deeply compassionate birth-trauma inquiry and healing method.

The MatriBirth Mentor Institute includes an in-depth initial training in MatriBirth trauma-processing, along with an array of coaching and childbirth education frameworks and class templates that graduates can apply in a multitude of virtual, in-person, and community settings.

Our past teacher workshops include:

Sister MorningStar 
The Primal Newborn Transition: 
It is with great honor and privilege that we welcome elder independent midwife and high priestess, Sister MorningStar, to share her wisdom on the final stages of birth and the newborn transition, including the birth of the placenta. Sister is a foremother in the sovereign midwifery movement, with a particular passion in the newborn transition. She will teach you about the newborn first breaths from both a physiological and spiritual perspective, how to support a woman as she releases the placenta, and how to hold space for a mother intuitively assisting her baby to transition.

Arielle de Martinez
Herbs, Homeopathy, and Cell Salts:
This workshop will introduce the application of natural medicines for both the midwife herself, and the families she serves. You'll learn the art of cultivating an effective, respectful, and appropriate relationship to plant allies and earth’s healing elements, with an emphasis on the distinction between allopathic herbalism and the role plants and natural healing can play throughout pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.

Nancy Lucina
Ritualizing the Motherhood Continuum:
Join Nancy Lucina, Shamanic Facilitator, to learn the importance of ritual and ceremony for marking significant passages in women’s lives. Nancy will guide you through the steps to ritualize pregnancy loss, mother blessings, and the postpartum transition. This aspect of midwifery is incredibly important as you learn to support women through such powerful portals as pregnancy, birth, and newborn motherhood. The skill of shamanic facilitation will support you and the women you serve to access real, sustainable growth and embodiment through these passages.

Kristin Hauser
The Female Hormonal Matrix:
Learn from hormone expert, acupuncturist and herbalist, Kristin Hauser, about the hormonal phases of a woman's life cycle. Hormones are not a pathology. Instead, they weave a rich tapestry of thriving health throughout our reproductive lives. This workshop will give you an understanding of the phases of womanhood through the lens of our amazing hormones as they impact pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and beyond, and how to physiologically support women through it all.

Dr. Rebecca Cohen
The Postpartum Pelvis:
Join sovereign midwife, ex-OBGYN turned RBK graduate, and holistic women’s health care practitioner to learn about the postpartum pelvis from a physiological standpoint. You’ll discover the ancient practices that support real pelvic healing after birth, including how to prepare the women you serve for this sacred time. This workshop will cover prolapse, tearing, diastasis-recti, and more. This is essential wisdom for anyone working with postpartum women.

School begins September 1st, 2025 and runs for 10 months. →

The 3 live classes per month run for 3 hours each. →

Enrollment includes access to a private community student network for the duration of the program.

Each student will be placed in a small integration council consisting of students and a skilled mentor.

In addition to the live classes, the program includes an incredibly robust curriculum of pre-recorded material.
